The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred at approximately 7:30 A.M Thursday. Sanilac Central Dispatch received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a single vehicle rollover accident on Croswell Road near Burns Line Road in Worth Township. The initial investigation shows that a 1999 Ford Expedition, being driven by a 16-year-old Croswell teen was traveling northbound on Croswell Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled multiple times. Croswell EMS responded to the scene to assess the driver. The driver (lone occupant) was later pronounced deceased at the scene. The accident remains under investigation and the driver was wearing his seat-belt and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this accident. The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Croswell police and fire department.
