Multiple injuries in Flynn Township accident

A crash between two vehicles pulling trailers sent one person to an area hospital for treatment Thursday morning around 10:50am in Sanilac County’s Flynn Township. According to Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies, a pickup pulling a utility trailer heading north on Maple Valley Road failed to stop at the intersection of Peck Road striking another pickup pulling a travel trailer that had stopped and was proceeding through the intesection. The impact caused the travel trailer to overturn in the roadway. The other pickup and trailer came to rest in the northeast ditch. A passenger in the first vehicle, a 74-year-old Berville woman, was taken by ambulance to Marlette Regional Hospital for treatment. The 78-year-old Berville man driving the first vehicle and a 67-year-old man and 66-year-old woman from Lakeport in the second vehicle were not injured. Police say the accident remains under investigation.
