Stolen Trailers Recovered

Michigan State Police Detectives have recovered stolen travel trailers valued at approximately $600,000. The Trailers were reported stolen from a facility in LaGrange, Indiana where theives allegedly put bougus VIN numbers on the units and sold them in other states, including Michigan. 17 of the stolen trailers were found at a dealership in Linwood, Michighan, near Bay City. The recreational vehicles, both fifth wheel and travel trailers, ranged in size from 25 to 43 feet.Officials with Huron Trails auto sales cooperated fully with the investigation and are considered victims of this crime. The investigation is on-going and many of the trailers have been returned to the Indiana facility.
