Three-alarm blaze damages Brown City trailer

(BROWN CITY) – A quick response by Brown City firefighters Monday morning prevented a fire from spreading and causing further damage. Chief Keith Redlin said his department was called to a mobile home on Maple Valley Road shortly after 9 a.m. and found smoke billowing from the trailer.
Firemen discovered a fire had started in the kitchen area and was quickly spreading. Chief Redlin said the blaze is being considered accidental and no one was at home at the time of the fire.
Brown City was assisted by Marlette and Speaker Township fire departments with firemen remaining on scene for around an hour.
