(SANDUSKY) – The Sandusky K-mart store is one of three K-mart stores in Michigan that will be closing later this year as the struggling retailer, Sears, continues to scramble to cut their losses.
The Sandusky location had survived earlier rounds of closings, but joined the list of more than 200 Sears and K-mart stores nationwide to close their doors.
The other two stores are located in Bay City and Shelby township, near Utica.
No official date of the actual closing of the Sandusky store has been announced.
It’s expected clearance sales will start by the end of this month and Sandusky employees were being notified Thursday of the iminent closing.
