A two-vehicle accident in Tuscola County’s Indianfields Township claimed the life of one person Thursday evening. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Caro Post were dispatched to M-81, near Prospect Avenue, shortly before 5:00 p.m. Investigation revealed that a car traveling west, lost control on the wet roadway and entered the path of an eastbound pickup truck. The driver of the car, 49-year old Michael Todd Millerov of Grand Blanc, was extricated from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. He was transported to an area hospital by flight care, where he passed away from his injuries. Authorities say that it appears he was not wearing a seatbelt. A 19-year old passenger in the car suffered minor injuries. The driver of the pickup truck and his two-year old passenger were uninjured. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Caro Fire Department and deputies from the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office.
