School Students Plot A Shooting

Three Lapeer County students, accused of plotting to carry out a massacre at one of the county’s middle schools, will be permitted to receive schooling this fall, but not in a traditional school setting. The teens, two 14 year olds and a 15 year old, at the time of the incident, are accused of plotting to go on a shooting spree at the Zemmer Middle School. If the case goes to trial, the three will be tried as adults and would be facing life in prison, if convicted. Prosecutors and defense attorneys have discussed plea deals with nothing being yet decided.
