Second home near Bad Axe busted for meth

VERONA TOWNSHIP — Four people have been arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, following execution of two search warrants in Huron County Friday.

According to Sheriff Kelly Hanson, an arrest Friday afternoon was in connection with a raid that took place earlier in the day on Whitelam St. in Bad Axe when three people were taken into custody.

The three people living in that home were arrested after officials from the Bad Axe Police Department, Huron County Sheriff’s Office and the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force uncovered an active meth lab in the basement of the home.

That scene led to a second warrant being obtained for a home on Sullivan Road home in Verona Township.

According to police, meth making components were found at the address. Sheriff Hanson said further charges will be considered as investigations continue.
