A 30-year old Imlay City man is in custody after an alleged domestic dispute with his mother.
Imlay City police and Lapeer County sheriff deputies responded to Church Road in Imlay City Township Tuesday afternoon around 5:30p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.
Police said David Fox allegedly discharged one shot from a handgun during an argument with his 56-year old mother and then fled the scene. Police later found Fox at a nearby friend’s house and arrested him.
Fox has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and felony firearms and remains lodged in the Lapeer County jail.
