Man injured in rollover accident

(Lexington Township) – A 20-year old Burtchville Township man was injured in a one-car accident west of Croswell around 10 p.m. Thursday night. According to Sanilac County sheriff deputies, the unidentified man was traveling east on Harrinton Road and lost control of his vehicle, due to the adverse weather conditions. The vehicle entered the field on the south side of the road, rolled once, and landed on its roof.

A 26-year-old Croswell man was driving by the accident scene and located the vehicle with the occupant still inside, asking for help. He assisted the subject out of the vehicle and called 9-1-1.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Port Huron McLaren Hospital by Croswell EMS for treatment of injuries. Police believe the subject was wearing a seatbelt and airbags did not deploy.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Croswell Police and Croswell Fire Department.
