(Brown City) – Motorists traveling M-53 and M-90 in Burnside Township, west of Brown City, will be seeing a noticeable difference in how traffic is managed at the dangerous intersection, beginning today.
Michigan Department of Transportation officials are on location converting the flashing light to a working stoplight and will be installing pavement markings and traffic signs. The intersection has been the site of numerous serious vehicle accidents and a decision was finally made to install the stoplight.
Traffic may experience short delays while pavement markings are installed and the signal is adjusted.
The work is expected to be completed later today.
