(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP) — Authorities in St. Clair County say the suspect who robbed two gas stations at knife-point early Tuesday used a stolen car in the holdups. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says the PT Cruiser was reported stolen Tuesday morning from the city of Detroit. The vehicle was located later that day by the victim in the vicinity from which it was stolen. The suspect, described as a tall black man with a thin build, robbed two gas stations about a half hour apart, starting with the Mobil gas station at Wadhams Road and I-94. After taking cash from the store, he drove to Marysville and held up the Speedway at Gratiot and Georgia, where he stole several cartons of cigarettes. Luckily, no one was hurt during either heist. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact Marysville Assistant Chief Ron Buckmaster or the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department.
