(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP) — St. Clair County authorities are investigating two separate armed robberies that took place Tuesday morning, which are believed to have been committed by the same suspect. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says a man walked into the Mobil Station at Wadhams and I-94 at 5:30 a.m., went up to the clerk, pulled out a knife and demanded money. Once he got an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect left in a vehicle. Shortly before 6 a.m., the suspect went into the Speedway gas station on Gratiot and Georgia in Marysville and threatened the clerk with a knife. He then walked behind the counter and stole several cartons of cigarettes before fleeing in a gray or silver in color PT Cruiser, westbound on Gratiot. The suspect in both cases was described as a black man, approximately 6’4″ tall with a thin build. No injuries were reported in either robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities immediately.
