HLN returning to news roots with Erica Hill joining daytime

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) – The HLN channel is returning to its news roots and boosting its live dayside lineup with a trio of female anchors. The new direction is represented by the continuing presence of Robin Meade, who celebrates her 15th year as host of the Atlanta-based “Morning Express.” In addition, Michaela Pereira recently launched a three-hour morning news show. “Michaela” is the only such national program to air from Los Angeles. Pereira was previously based in New York as a co-host of sister network CNN’s “New Day.” And Erica Hill will be a new addition with her two-hour daily news-and-interview program from New York starting in September, HLN announced Sunday. Hill rejoined CNN and HSN earlier this summer after stints with CBS News and NBC News.
