(SANILAC COUNTY) — The Sanilac County MSU Extension office and Sanilac County will host a free household hazardous waste, electronics, and pesticide collection for county residents and farmers on Saturday, July 16 at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Sandusky. Those wishing to participate must pre-register by calling the MSU Extension office at 810-648-2515 by Noon on Friday, July 15. Farm chemicals that will be accepted include insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, waste oil, and other unknown chemicals. Pesticides, toxic cleaners, oil-based products, batteries, motor oil, and electronics will also be accepted. Large appliances, televisions, and computer monitors will not be accepted.
