THETFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) – An early-morning fire has destroyed a clubhouse and dozens of golf carts at a Flint-area golf course. Duane Casselman, whose wife is a co-owner of the 18-hole Vienna Greens Golf Course in Genesee County’s Thetford Township, tells The Flint Journal the fire started around 1 a.m. on Wednesday at the cart storage barn and spread. The cause wasn’t immediately known. The owners plan to rebuild. The newspaper say about 50 carts in the barn were destroyed and the roof caved in on the clubhouse. Casselman says the course will be closed for a few days until a fleet of carts can be rented. Sisters Teresa Casselman and Mary Jane Key have co-owned the golf course for 20 years. Their parents previously owned the club.
