(SANDUSKY) — Two people were injured in a single vehicle UTV accident Sunday afternoon in Sanilac County’s Elmer Township. Sheriff’s deputies say the accident took place around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Isles and Miller Roads. A 2007 Polaris Ranger, driven by a 16-year old Sandusky boy, was heading north on Isles Road when he lost control and overturned the UTV. The driver and his 16 year old passenger, also from Sandusky, sustained undisclosed injuries and were transported to McKenzie Health System by Sanilac EMS for treatment. Deputies say both teens were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor. The Sandusky Fire Department and Sanilac EMS assisted at the scene.
