(SANILAC COUNTY) — Sanilac County officials report that formal charges against a Deckerville man involved in a fatal crash last Friday in Worth Township are on hold pending toxicology test results. 19-year old Brandon Regan of Lexington was killed when his Kawasaki dirt bike was struck by a pickup truck on Galbraith Line Road around 8:30 a.m. that morning. Sheriff’s deputies say the bike, traveling west, was hit when the 55-year old man driving the pickup turned into its path while making a left turn onto St. Clair Road. Regan was a senior at Cros-Lex High School, attending the Secondary Alternative Education Program. Deputies say he was wearing proper safety equipment at the time of the crash. The pickup driver was not injured. He remains free on a PR bond.
