This evening the Spartans, who are 24-5 overall, are on the road for a game with Rutgers, which is winless in 16 conference games this season. Tonight’s Miami at Notre Dame ACC game is key for the visiting Hurricanes, who are ranked seventh in the AP poll. They enter the game 12-4 in conference play, a game back of idle North Carolina. The eighth-ranked Tar Heels are off until Saturday, when they face arch-rival Duke on the Blue Devils’ home court. In a Pac-12 game tonight ninth-ranked Oregon is in Southern California to face UCLA’s Bruins. The Ducks start play a half-game in front of idle Utah in the conference standings while the Bruins are suffering through a 15-14 season. In the final game of the night, 10th-ranked West Virginia is hosting Texas Tech in a Big 12 battle.
