SAVE Council partners with libraries during Domestic Violence Awareness Month

(AREA) — During Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, the SAVE Council has partnered with Sanilac County libraries and provided them with children’s books that are suggested readings for the month. Each of the books touch on the topic of domestic violence in a variety of ways. All the books are suitable for any reader, but most focus toward younger children. The books are considered great tools to educate children, begin a discussion about the topic and develop a plan if necessary. The SAVE Council realizes violence is a tough issue to talk about, but being aware, learning about it, and having a plan is the first step to ending it. Visit www.savepartnership.org to see a list of the books being offered.
