Two arrested in Deckerville drug raid

Two people were arrested following a drug raid Monday night in Deckerville. According to a press release from Sanilac County Drug Task Force Director Jim Johnson, officers with the drug task force and the Deckerville Police Department executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of Black River Street around 10:00 p.m. Monday night. Officers seized crystal methamphetamine, heroin and prescription pills in the raid. A 33-year old woman from Deckerville and a 36-year old Jackson man were arrested and are currently lodged in the Sanilac County Jail pending arraignment on multiple drug charges. The Sanilac County Drug Task Force and Deckerville Police Department were assisted by officers from the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office. The incident remains under investigation.
