Michigan Farm Bureau holds 93rd Annual Meeting

(GRAND RAPIDS) -- Wrapping up its 93rd annual meeting last week in Grand Rapids, the Michigan Farm Bureau elected a new district director and reorganized its executive committee, changing the lineup atop the state's largest general farm organization. Kent County farmer Andy Hagenow is the organization's new Vice President. Hagenow raises beef cattle and feed crops near Rockford. President since 2000, Sanilac County Dairy Farmer Wayne H. Wood of Marlette retains his position atop the organization. The board's executive committee is rounded out by third member Carl Bednarski, a row crop farmer from Tuscola County, who was re-elected to a new, 2-year term.
