St. Mary’s Seton Cancer Services Spring Lunch & Learn

In partnership with Marlette Regional Hospital, St. Mary’s Seton Cancer Institute is pleased to offer a Spring Community Lunch & Learn intended for health care professionals titled “CyberKnife Radiosurgery and Radiation Oncology” on Friday, May 4th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Marlette Regional Hospital.

This seminar will be focused on radiation oncology and CyberKnife radiosurgery as treatment options for cancerous and noncancerous tumors. A series of interesting and relative case studies from their treatment center will be shared as well as discussion into the unique treatment capabilities of CyberKnife and current advances in radiation treatment options for patients.

The guest speaker will be Dr. V. Elayne Arterbery, a radiation oncologist at Seton Cancer Institute with a special interest in inter-operative radiation therapy (IORT), CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery, and the treatment of cancer in the prostate and breast. Dr. Arterbery travels throughout the region to provide treatment to patients in Saginaw, Marlette, and West Branch locations.
