Marlette Regional Hospital Hosts Spring Walking Program

Walk your way to fitness with Marlette Regional Hospital!

A 4-week, self-directed, spring walking program will kick-off on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Gayle’s Trail in Marlette. Gayle’s Trail is a beautifully groomed 1-mile walking trail located next to the Marlette Elementary School.

The program will run May 14 – June 11, 2018, with the kick-off commencing at 4 p.m. on May 14th. At this kick-off event, participants will receive tips on stretching and proper footwear presented by Physical Rehabilitation Services of Marlette Regional Hospital. Registered adult participants will also receive a pedometer, walking log, and an opportunity to receive reduced rate health screenings.

There is no charge to participate in this program, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to join the program. Participants can walk as little or as much as they would like as the program is self-directed. Participants can register in person at the kick-off event on May 14th or at the MRH East Campus in Marlette.

A prize will be awarded for the most minutes logged. Participants who complete the 4-week program at any level of activity and turn in their walking logs by June 15th will be entered into a prize drawing.
