(LAPEER COUNTY) -- Lapeer area residents heard the tornado warning siren sound off Wednesday afternoon. Police say there was a paging system issue at Central Dispatch around 2:30 p.m. and there was no emergency. Authorities apologize for any inconvenience. The siren went off back on December 21 shortly after a widespread power outage. The county's paging system setting off the tornado sirens has been one of the glitches since Central Dispatch switched to the new 800-megahertz digital radio system for county emergency service agencies.
