(AREA) -- A storm with gusty winds has left a blanket of snow and residents without power throughout the Thumb and Blue Water area. Detroit Edison crews are working to restore power to businesses and residents before the end of the day today. Tuscola County has 2,825 reported outages. There are around 100 customers without power in St. Clair County, 3,620 in Lapeer County, and around 50 in Sanilac County. A gale warning remains in effect for the shoreline stretching from Port Austin to Port Huron along the Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron until 10 a.m. Saturday. The entire Thumb is under a winter weather advisory through tonight.
