Hitching Poles added at the Imlay City Polly Ann Trailhead

(IMLAY CITY) -- Friends of the Polly Ann Trail have added a feature for horse riders. Hitching posts have been installed so that horses can be tied while being saddled. The new trailhead is located on the west end of 4th Street near Blacks Corners Road in Imlay City. Barb Yockey, an Imlay City resident, recently attended a meeting and suggested the hitching posts as a way to encourage equestrians to use the trailhead as a starting point for riding along the Polly Ann Trail. Imlay City DDA Director Kim Marrone took the suggestion to the city and the posts were installed. Anyone interested in the trail is invited to attend the quarterly, Friends of the Polly Ann Trail meeting at the Lamb Steele Building in Imlay City at 7:15 p.m. on December 19th.
