Sandusky woman injured in two-vehicle crash

(DECKERVILLE) -- An 18-year old Sandusky woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening in the village of Deckerville. The crash took place shortly after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Maple Streets. Sanilac County Sheriff's Sgt. Darrin Siemen says a Jeep Cherokee driven by Kaitlin Jackson was struck on the drivers side as she traveled north on Main Street. A Saturn car driven by a 16-year old Deckerville man was heading east on Maple Street and failed to give right of way to Jackson. She was transported to Deckerville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 16-year old driver and his 15-year old female passenger, also from Deckerville, were not injured. Deckerville Fire and Sanilac EMS assisted at the scene.
