(PORT HURON) -- St. Clair County Sheriff's Department Dive Team members are credited with saving a life while conducting training exercises in the St. Clair River Sunday morning. The Dive Team was performing drift dives from their boats between Pine Grove Park and Black River shortly after 10:30 a.m., when a woman was spotted walking to the edge of the water at the foot of Lincoln Street. Authorities say the 41-year old Port Huron woman then continued into the river. A Dive Team boat started toward her, as she began struggling in deep water. One of the dive team members jumped to her aid and kept the woman afloat as the other divers helped her into the boat. The woman was quickly taken to Port Huron Hospital for treatment of hypothermia. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says it is unknown why the woman walked into the water in the first place.
