(GRAND RAPIDS) -- The winners of $560,000 in prize money for year's ArtPrize competition in West Michigan are expected to be announced tonight at 8 p.m. The event in Grand Rapids features an announcement of the winner of the public vote, which carries a $200,000 prize. Winners of juried awards also will be announced. The top juried prize is worth $100,000. The annual art competition began September 19. This year's installment features entries from 1,517 artists from 56 countries and 45 states. The works are on display at dozens venues across downtown Grand Rapids. One of the top ten artists vying for a prize includes Dennis Harris of Marlette, whose work "The Chase" is on display at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.
