(SANDUSKY) -- A well-deserved honor is going to Sandusky girls basketball Coach Al DeMott, as he is going to be inducted into the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Hall of Fame this Saturday evening in Lansing. Over the past 33-years, DeMott and his Lady Redskins have compiled one of the state's finest basketball records. Going into the 2012-2013 basketball season Coach DeMott has compiled a won-loss record of 596 wins and 167 losses. The Lady Redskins have won 21 district championships, 16 league championships, seven regional titles, and in 1999, Sandusky was the Class C semi-finalists. Demott also ranks third in wins among all varsity girls coaches in Michigan. He currently serves as Athletic Director for Sandusky Community Schools.
