(CROSWELL) -- The former Cros-Lex Middle School Secretary accused of embezzling more than $40,000 from student fundraisers is scheduled to be sentenced in Sanilac County Circuit Court November 19 after reaching a plea bargain. 39-year old Cheryl Francis plead no contest to one count of embezzling more than $1,000 but less than $20,000 during her court appearance Monday. The Croswell woman is expected to have the two other counts of embezzling dismissed at sentencing. The charge carries a maximum prison term of 5-years or a $10,000 fine.
