A Monday compliance sting operation by the Port Huron Police Department found seven area stores selling vaping or tobacco products to minors.

Sending in underage decoys to 36 stores across Port Huron on Monday, November 14, the department found that 29 stores refused to sell to the minors, and thus passing their compliance check. However, the following seven stores failed their check, selling vaping products to the decoys:

  •  Ryan’s Party Store, 1837 Pine Grove Ave, Port Huron, MI
  • Joe’s Party Stop, 2304 Hancock, Port Huron, MI
  • Lighthouse Party Store, 2740 Gratiot Ave, Port Huron, MI
  • Good Times Smoke Shop, 2004 10th Street, Port Huron, MI
  • Express Liquor, 1846 Lapeer Ave, Port Huron, MI
  • Top Shelf Hookah and Smoke Shop, 1526 10th Street, Port Huron, MI
  • Exxon, 1035 Lapeer Ave, Port Huron, MI

Ryan’s Party Store, Joe’s Party Stop, Lighthouse Party Store, Good Times Smoke Shop, Express Liquor, Top Shelf Hookah and Smoke Shop, and the Exxon gas station on Lapeer Avenue. All seven were cited for not being in compliance, with Port Huron Police urging businesses to check ID’s to prevent underage tobacco and vape use.
