(AREA) — A series of free public workshops is planned this month to provide information from research about fisheries in Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair. Organizers say the programs will be valuable for anglers, charter captains, resources professionals and others. They’ll focus on fish populations and data from angler catches. Other topics will include native and invasive species, forage fish surveys and management activities. Although there is no charge, preregistration is requested for most workshops. The local Lake Huron fishery workshop will be held on Thursday, April 21 from 6-9 p.m. at the Ubly Fox Hunter’s Club, located at 2153 Ubly Road.
