Huge showing at Sandusky’s Lighted Farm Implement Parade

(SANDUSKY) — The parade route was lined with excited children and adults alike Saturday night for Michigan’s Original Country Christmas Lighted Farm Implement Parade in Sandusky. The weather was mild compared to years past. Several events led up to the big parade including the tree lighting ceremony on the courthouse lawn, a visit from Santa, and children’s crafts at local businesses. There were some crowd favorites Saturday night and several businesses and organizations took home a trophy for their efforts. Tri-County Equipment took top honors in the “Agriculture Equipment Dealer” category. Metcalf Farms won the “Antique Farm” division. For “Non-Farm Small Business,” CTI Certified Temperature Innovations and HG Salon of Croswell took the title for their fun rendition of Snoopy vs. the Red Baron. McKenzie Health System won the “Non-Profit Service Organization” award. In the “Large Business” category, Potter Motor Service’s Sandusky Varsity Football float took home the award. The Stoutenburg Family won the “Privately Owned Modern Farm Equipment” division. Winning the “Religious” category was Countryside Free Methodist Church. The Mayors Trophy went to the Sandusky Community Fire Department for their rendition of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas with an appearance from the Grinch himself!
