St. Clair County DTF makes arrest

Man arrested as a result of a raid by DTF

A 36 year old Port Huron Township man is in custody, following a raid at his home yesterday afternoon. According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the St. Clair County Drug Task Force conducted an investigation into the production and sales of methamphetamine in the Port Huron area. The investigation culminated with the execution of a search warrant at a home in the 2500 block of Lewis Drive in Port Huron Township.

Once inside the residence, members of the DTF located all the components to manufacture meth, several one pots, multiple gas generators, drug paraphernalia and finished methamphetamine product.

Specially trained members of the Drug Task Force dismantled the lab, decontaminated the area and disposed of the lab materials in a specialized container located at the Sheriff’s Office.

The DTF was also informed that the suspect had dumped other meth components at a site located near the former Super K-Mart. Those items were located and cleaned up just off the driveway off Howard Street.

The suspect is expected to face charges including possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, operating and maintaining a meth lab and being a habitual offender. The suspect is currently on probation on previous methamphetamine charges.

The Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol and Special Response Team assisted at the scene of the raid, along with the Port Huron Police Special Response Team and Port Huron Township Fire Department.
