Wanted Fugitive from Pennsylvania caputred in Huron County -- Friday, March 12 2010

(HURON COUNTY) -- A fugitive wanted out of Pennsylvania was captured in Huron County Wednesday. 26-year old Allen Maxson was wanted on a felony warrant of 20 counts of sexual abuse of children dating back to November 2009. Pennsylvania authorities believed Maxson was living in Ubly with relatives. Ubly Police went to the suspected residence, but was unable to locate Maxson. He was later taken into custody at the Huron County Sheriff's Department without incident following a phone conversation with Ubly Police Chief Kuhl. Maxson was arraigned late Thursday afternoon on a fugitive from justice charge and bond was denied. He remains jailed in Huron County. Details are being worked out with the state of Pennsylvania to see whether he will wave extradition.
