Deckerville area woman injured in single-vehicle crash -- Tuesday, March 9 2010

(VERONA TOWNSHIP) -- A 76-year old Deckerville woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Learman Road just east of Carpenter Road in Huron County's Verona Township. Troopers from the State Police post in Bad Axe report that the vehicle driven by Eunice Tarzwell was traveling west on Learman Road when it ran off the roadway and entered the ditch. The car came to rest near a wooded area. Tarzwell was transported to Huron Medical Center. According to the report, she was later transferred to Bay City for treatment of major injuries, which are unknown at this time. Troopers say alcohol was not a factor in the crash and Tarzwell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
