Yale Senior Center raises funds at area schools -- Monday, February 8 2010
(YALE) -- Residents of the Yale Senior Center recently raised some extra funds by selling bubble gum to students at Avoca Elementary, Emmett Elementary and the Yale High School. The sale, with the schools permission, took place during the student's lunch hour. The children received one piece of sugarless bubble gum for a quarter. Emmett Elementary raised $110.60, Avoca Elementary raised $104.65 and the high school kicked in $44.36 for a total of $212.
