Port Huron Northern, Brown City high schools win SC4 quiz bowl -- Monday, February 8 2010

(PORT HURON) -- Teams from Port Huron Northern and Brown City High Schools won the 2010 Regional High School Quiz Bowl on Saturday in Port Huron. Port Huron Northern won the A and B Division, while Brown City took top honors in the C and D Division. Each team received a trophy and medals along with one $500 scholarship to SC4. Second-place teams were Yale in the A and B division and Carsonville-Port Sanilac in the C and D division. Other participating teams were Capac, Port Huron, Dryden, Marlette, Peck and Sandusky. Quiz bowl is a double-elimination competition testing students on a broad range of topics from history and mathematics to grammar and current events.
