(TUSCOLA COUNTY) -- Tuscola County Sheriff's deputies say a 14-year old boy was struck by a vehicle as he rode a skateboard along Fostoria Road near Barnes Road in Watertown Township Tuesday, shortly before 6 p.m. The driver of the vehicle, 24-year old Scott Valentine of Fostoria, told investigators that he was traveling south on Fostoria Road when he struck the pedestrian, who was wearing dark colored clothes, and riding the skateboard in the roadway. Deputies say the 14-year old was critically injured and transported to an area hospital.
