#ALSIceBucketChallenge at Deckerville Hospital

(DECKERVILLE) -- Deckerville Community Hospital accepted the ALSIceBucketChallenge last week in an effort to raise awareness and funding to support research and health services for those affected with the debilitating disease ALS, often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease." It's a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in a person's brain and spinal cord and there is no known cure for the fatal disease. The Administration of Deckerville Community Hospital graciously accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and will make monetary donations. Director of Nursing, Angie McConnachie challenged Covenant Healthcare and Sanilac EMS; Administrator, David West challenged the Deckerville Community Hospital staff; CFO, Valerie Bryant challenged Autumnwood of Deckerville and the Deckerville Fire Department; Administrative Services Supervisor Tarry Radatz challenged McKenzie Health System and Harbor Beach Community Hospital and Diagnostic Services Supervisor Kathy Smith, challenged Hills & Dales Community Hospital and Marlette Regional Hospital.
