(AREA) -- Congresswoman Candice Miller is awaiting appointment as Vice Chair of the full House Committee on Homeland Security and will continue to serve as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security for the 113th Congress. Miller has served as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security since January 2011. Congresswoman Miller says she will continue to work with members of the committee to confront the threats of terrorism, cyber security, and mismanagement of the Department of Homeland Security. Congresswoman Miller has served on the House Committee on Homeland Security since 2008. She was appointed the Chairman of the Committee on House Administration for the 113th Congress, the only woman chairman serving in the House of Representatives. Miller also serves on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. The 10th Congressional District she serves includes northern Macomb County, a portion of Tuscola and all of St. Clair, Sanilac, Huron and Lapeer counties.
