(WATERTOWN) -- The two suspects accused in the armed robbery of the Depot Party Store in Watertown appeared in Sanilac County District Court Wednesday for their pre-exam conferences. With no changes in the case, 31-year old Howard Wiggins of Detroit and 30-year old Cassandra Kelly of Peck are scheduled to appear for their preliminary exams Wednesday, January 9 at 1:30 p.m. The robbery took place during the evening hours of October 26. Authorities say the pair got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and personal checks following the heist. Citizen tips were instrumental in the arrests. Wiggins has been charged with armed robbery, felony firearms, and felon in possession of firearms. He remains jailed on a $500,000 bond and is also being held on a parole violation. His girlfriend, Cassandra Kelly was charged with armed robbery for her role. Police say Kelly was driving the suspect vehicle in the case. She remains free on a $2,500 personal bond.
