(SANILAC COUNTY) -- Two suspects have been identified and face charges in the Wild John's Party Store breaking and entering. Sanilac County Sheriff Garry Biniecki says that more than 30 weapons, ammunition, and cash were stolen during the break-in August 15 at the business located at 6348 N. Van Dyke in Greenleaf Township. Deputies acted on a tip, which led to the identification of property owned in Sanilac County by the suspect's family. A.T.F. agents assisted in locating the 18-year old Shelby Township man in Macomb County where the stolen guns were located. A second juvenile suspect linked to the crime was also identified. Twenty-two of the more than 30 weapons stolen were returned to the business anonymously back in November. Some gun cases and ammunition were also returned. Making sure the owner found the hand guns and high powered rifles, the individual left a corn trail by retrieving a bag of shelled corn from the front of the store and pouring it out leading to the back door where the loot was left. An investigation continues as additional charges are pending.
