(DECKERVILLE) -- Lifetime Deckerville area resident Rosamond Buhl is turning 100! Rosie was born on December 14, 1912. She worked side-by-side with her late husband Lloyd Buhl at the Deckerville Recorder for most of her life. Rosie also drove bus for the Sanilac County ISD, worked on the election board, served as the Deckerville Village Assessor, as a member of the Community Center Board, Women's Club and Autumnwood Auxiliary. Rosie has four children. William is a retired District and Circuit Court Judge from Van Buren County, Bob is Vice-President of Ep-Team Air Freight in Miami, Florida, Marcia is Executive Director of CMH counseling, a non-profit agency in Buffalo, New York, and Karl is a retired teacher from Deckerville Schools. Rosie is active in the community, attending the meal site at the Deckerville Community Center, plays cards twice a week and cheers on those Detroit Tigers! An open house style 100th birthday celebration for Rosie will be held Friday, December 14 at the D-Ville Diner from 1-3 p.m.
