(PORT HURON TOWNSHIP) -- A standoff between St. Clair County Sheriff's deputies and a suspect in a criminal sexual conduct case ended peacefully Tuesday morning. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says the 28-year old Port Huron Township man was wanted for questioning in a CSC case involving a 15-year old girl. The incident took place Monday in Port Huron. Authorities were called shortly after 8 a.m. when the man was spotted entering a vacant home in the 2500 block of Michigan Road, through a window. When deputies arrived, the man threatened to turn on the natural gas and blow himself up. Initial talks with the suspect failed and the Sheriff's Office Special Response Team was called to the scene. After almost 4-hours of refusing to surrender, the suspect walked out of the house and was taken into custody without incident at 11:30 a.m. The man remains jailed.
