Senator Pavlov to host town hall on protecting Lake Huron from nuclear waste dump

(AREA) -- State Senator Phil Pavlov of St. Clair Township is holding a public town hall meeting on Tuesday, July 29 in Port Huron on protecting Lake Huron from a Canadian nuclear waste dump. The event will be held at the Donald E Dodge Auditorium from 6:30-8 p.m. Canadian officials propose to bury 7 million cubic feet of nuclear waste less than a mile from the shore of Lake Huron, directly across from residents of St. Clair, Sanilac, and Huron counties. The public is encouraged to attend.
