Most boats in, winners set at Port Huron-Mackinac

MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (AP) - All but 15 of the entrants are in at the 90th annual Port Huron to Mackinac Island race, which featured everything from brisk winds to calm, rainstorms, fog and bright sunshine. Race chairman Art LeVasseur says 225 boats started Saturday near Port Huron's Blue Water Bridge, and the last remaining racer was 30 miles from the finish at 1:30 p.m. Monday. The Bayview Yacht Club in Detroit says Windquest was first across the finish in northern Lake Huron at 6:15 p.m. Sunday. Winners in multiple divisions are determined by handicaps based on each boat's ability. LeVasseur says Natalie J won the Division 1 race on the Cove Island course, while Shape won in Division 2 on the Shore course.
