(CLAY TOWNSHIP) -- Inmates from the St. Clair County and Macomb County Jails were busy Saturday morning cleaning up trash on Gull Island. The inmates filled dozens of garbage bags with waste left behind Friday by the annual Jobbie Nooner partygoers. According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the trash removal program started in 2010. The inmates are transported to the island by Marine Division boats and watched over by Corrections deputies from each office. The inmates spent about 6-hours picking up bottles, cans, paper, and other debris from around the island.
